Does it matter more to you to be “involved” in the conversation, adding your thoughts, perspectives, and experience to help the greater good?
OR
Is your priority to feed your ego and stroke your sense of self-worth to make yourself more “important”?
Which is your goal? Why?
Certainly one can be both ‘involved’ and “important”…but your focus matters.
If your focus is to be “involved”, contributing positively, building good relationships, adding value to the mission and/or the greater good, you quite likely will become “important”.
If, on the other hand, your need to be “important” takes center stage, no matter how “involved” you are, your contribution will be diminished.
