“Care” and “Aware” Two Critical, If Often Unsung Criteria for Success.

Each person and organization ‘care’ about different things.  Each has different levels of ‘awareness’.

Several years ago I created what I call the “Care/Aware Matrix”. That original version focused on employer readiness for veteran hiring and employment, offering a model to assess where they stand.

In a recent coaching conversation with a great Navy officer in career transition, it dawned on me that the ‘care’/’aware’ dynamic is important to folks in transition also!

What one ‘cares’ about and what one is ‘aware’ of become key criteria for which opportunities to chase.
